Traditionally, long concrete delivery line systems and separate placing booms have been cleaned out by using compressed air to blow waste concrete back into a concrete delivery truck or a bin. For every 80 lineal metres of 125mm diameter concrete delivery pipeline, there is 1m3 of concrete waste. This means that typical separate placing boom projects would have on average 2m3 to 4m3 of waste concrete left in the delivery line after every pour. Additionally, traditional compressed air blow-back methods have a history of near-misses and incidents with workers and property damage due to the explosive nature of compressed air. SCP have been the market leaders in developing procedures to solve these issues considering worker and public safety and SCP’s impact on the environment by preventing pollution and controlling waste management.
SCP would be pleased to discuss with you the advantages and efficiencies our water washout innovation can provide on your next project.
